Guest Speaker - Peter Mitchell

Pete Mitchell is a Leeds based photographer, who, having lived in Leeds all his life has been able to produce a body of work documenting what the environment was like in the 70's. He produced a book showing the photographs called 'Memento Mori', which in Latin means 'You're all going to die'. A dark concept but one that holds truth nonetheless. After hearing Peter talk, I can understand he has a slight fascination with endings and changes, both in people and places. It is because of this that during the talk he focused on how highly he saw Leeds in the 1970's compared to how he views it as a city now.
